Basic Section Type
The Basic Section Type is the most fundamental section type in the Content Management System. It presents content in two ways:

  1. By directly presenting information  in a "flat" form so that all content is immediately visible; or
  2. By introducing and itemizing pieces of information, with links to the full content of the itemized information on additional pages

The first way is useful for presenting fairly short, concise pieces of information. Simply follow the instructions for getting started with a Basic section.

However, if you are presenting more than even a minimal amount of information, use the second option: adding items to the Basic section.You want to avoid requiring the user to scroll down the page to find the bit of information that most interests them; instead he or she can quickly find the summary of that information and with a click go directly to it.
