Note:
- If you prefer to work in HTML, click on "Switch to HTML" on the bottom right of the text box and enter code directly.
- Otherwise, follow directions below.
Step 1: Place your cursor in an open text editing window:

Step 2: Enter text
- Either type in text manually or paste from another source.
- Paste text by clicking on the "paste" icon:

- If pasting text, formatting elements (e.g. font types, size, etc.) will also be pasted.
- Clear these elements by clicking on the "clean" icon (always recommended, to assure consistency).

Step 3: Format text
- Highlight the text you want to format
- Use the formatting icons at the top of the text editing box
- Bold and/or italicize text by using the left most icons:

- Bullet or ennumerate text by clicking on either of the next two icons:

- Align or indent the text, using the next five icons.

- Cut, Copy and Paste text, using the next three icons:

Step 4: Create links
- Link any part of your text by highlighting that text with your mouse and then clicking on the Hyperlink icon:

- The following window will appear:

Choose the type of source to which you are linking (generally, you will want to leave it at the default "http:").

Enter the URL of the page to which you want to link .

Click OK and the window will disappear.

The words forming the hyperlink should appear underlined, showing that the link has been made.
Step 5: Check spelling
