| The News Section Type is used for posting time specific information. It functions just like the basic section type, except it includes an additional capability: you can set the time at which each of its itemized pieces of content appear on the website.
Each item in a News section is stamped with a time and date, which appears in the item summary (look at the item below for an example). Until that date, it will be embargoed within the CMS. This makes it an ideal vehicle for displaying press releases or other "What's New" types of information that have been prepared in advance.
